Happy New Year - 2006

We brought New Years in for the 3rd year in a row at Mel and Louise's. Mel made up a prime rib (mustard and salt coat the prime rib, but lifts off like a shell w/o giving any mustard or salty taste to the finished product..yum!!). Molly and Natasha had fun as always. A big storm dumped 3" of rain while we were there.

Below is a picture of the Folsom Dam that I shot while driving past on New Years Day. Those are trees, not bushes you see. Most of the time you'll see fishermen in waders out there fishing. All but 4 gates were wide open all weekend to let out water in preparation for the rain. I also took a picture of Sloughhouse Restaurant that flooded (as always). It looks a lot drier today than it did yesterday..too back they had to cancel their NY Eve celebration though.
